Est\u00e1bamos en mora de hacer un reconocimiento al fundamental papel que la mujer caficultora viene haciendo al engrandecimiento de esta zona cobijada con el paraguas de la Unesco como Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad.
\nNo podemos dudar que son ellas, las productoras, trilladoras, tostadoras, comercializadoras, catadoras y mujeres que saben de barismo, las que con su empuje y talante contribuyen arduamente a llevar a las tazas de Colombia y de todo el planeta el caf\u00e9 m\u00e1s suave del mundo.
\nCelebramos el pasado mes de marzo el mes de la mujer, y este mes de mayo el mes de las madres, pues vaya el reconocimiento perenne a ellas, no solo por estas celebraciones sino por su constante e incondicional apoyo a los hombres cafeteros d\u00eda a d\u00eda en la cadena productiva del caf\u00e9, ya que se han convertido en la representaci\u00f3n de un 30% de la caficultura colombiana
\nSeg\u00fan Oscar Arango, secretario t\u00e9cnico de la Cadena Productiva de Caf\u00e9s Especiales, ellas \u00abson dirigentes y l\u00edderes cafeteras de Risaralda, Caldas, Valle y Quind\u00edo que han venido trabajando intensamente en beneficio no solo de sus familias, sino tambi\u00e9n de su municipio y de la regi\u00f3n con sus distintos roles.
\nSon mujeres de todos los municipios que hacen parte del Paisaje Cultural Cafetero Colombiano y que representan diferentes actividades de los eslabones de la cadena productiva a las que hoy rendimos especial tributo en esta edici\u00f3n, pues su aporte ha sido trascendental para este sector de la econom\u00eda, y m\u00e1xime ahora cuando a trav\u00e9s de la asociatividad, que vienen liderando con la producci\u00f3n de caf\u00e9s especiales, esgrimen argumentos contundentes para que efectivamente, el futuro de la econom\u00eda cafetera se enrrute por la v\u00eda de la innovaci\u00f3n, la modernizaci\u00f3n, el desarrollo tecnol\u00f3gico y del valor agregado.<\/p>\n

WOMEN AND ITS CRUCIAL ROLE IN COFFEE CULTURE<\/p>\n
The opportunity was pending to recognize the fundamental role that coffee grower women have had in this region, declared by UNESCO as Cultural Heritage of Mankind.
\nWe have no doubt female producers, grinders, toasters, traders, tasters and baristas, strongly contribute with its energy and frame of mind to make world?s smoothest coffee fill cups worldwide.
\nWe celebrated Women?s Month last March, and May is Mother?s Month, as recognition is neverending for them, not just for the said celebrations but for their constant and unconditional support to coffee grower men in the production chain surpassing the 30% of the whole coffee related population.
\nAccording to Oscar Arango, technical secretary at the specialty coffee production chain, they are a leading class in the departments of Risaralda, Caldas, Quind\u00edo and Valle which have been working in benefit not only of their families but of the municipality and the region with its several roles.
\nThey are women coming from all the municipalities that form up the Colombian Cultural Coffee Landscape and who represent different activities in the several links that make up the production chain. To them we pay homage in this edition, as their contribution has been transcendental for this sector in economy, even more now when through associativity several specialty coffee producers have been promoting a change in the panorama as coffee growing economy is moving into the path of innovation, modernization, technological development and added value. <\/p>\n
