Seg\u00fan Frank Carlos Camacho, Director General de Africam Safari de M\u00e9xico, \u201cLa llegada de las jirafas a Pereira fue posible gracias a las magnificas instalaciones con las que cuenta el Bioparque Ukumar\u00ed\u201d Lugar en donde se prepar\u00f3 un h\u00e1bitat de 8.000 metros cuadrados y en donde se cuenta con un equipo de bienestar animal que estar\u00e1 a cargo de los mam\u00edferos m\u00e1s altos que existen sobre la tierra. El Bioparque Ukumar\u00ed est\u00e1 ubicado en el Km 14, margen sur, de la v\u00eda que de Pereira &#8211; Risaralda conduce al corregimiento de Cerritos.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ukumaripereira.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.ukumaripereira.com<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><strong>BIOPARQUE UKUMAR\u00cd AND ITS NEW AFRICAN VISITORS<\/strong><br \/>\nA young pair of giraffes coming from Puebla (M\u00e9xico) has arrived at Pereira\u2019s Ukumar\u00ed Biopark and has become an appealing attraction for visitors nowadays. According to Frank Carlos Camacho, General Director of Africam Safari (Mexico) \u201cthe arrival of the animals was possible thanks to the park\u2019s magnificent infrastructure\u201d. An 8.000 sq meters habitat was built and an animal wellness team was deployed to take care of world\u2019s tallest mammals. Ukumar\u00ed\u2019s director Sandra Milena Correa remembered conservation must be a worldwide process and that the giraffes were born under human care, being part of an ex-situ conservation process.
