Es precisamente en torno a la celebraci\u00f3n de la Semana Mayor, que esta zona andina colombiana luce sus mejores galas para corroborar que su fe en Dios es el principal motor que lo anima a salir adelante. Las representaciones en vivo que sobre la vida, pasi\u00f3n y muerte de Jes\u00fas ofrecen por esta \u00e9poca del a\u00f1o algunas poblaciones de la zona, constituyen un atractivo especial para los cientos de turistas que llegan a la regi\u00f3n, impresionados por las escenas que muestran las procesiones y por la imponencia de muchos de los templos religiosos dotados, en muchos casos, de una monumental y elaborada arquitectura, tal y como se puede apreciar con la infraestructura de Bas\u00edlicas como las de Manizales y Salamina, o la filigrana de templos parroquiales como la Catedral de Pereira o del estilo g\u00f3tico de las iglesias de San Jos\u00e9 en Pereira o de los Agustinos en la ciudad de Manizales.
