Se trata de Filandia conocido tambi\u00e9n como \u201cLa Colina Iluminada del Quindio\u201d, y Zapatoca, en Santander, municipios colombianos reconocidos en el concurso anual que es promovido por este organismo internacional para reconocer a los Mejores Pueblos para el Turismo Rural alrededor del mundo.
\nPara postular los destinos de Colombia a este concurso, el Ministerio de Comercio, Industria y Turismo abri\u00f3 una convocatoria el pasado mes de mayo, por medio de la cual invit\u00f3 a las entidades municipales del pa\u00eds a presentar sus destinos tur\u00edsticos rurales.
\nEn total se recibieron 38 postulaciones que fueron evaluadas por un comit\u00e9 t\u00e9cnico del Viceministerio de Turismo, que finalmente eligi\u00f3 y acompa\u00f1\u00f3 a los 8 pueblos nominados.
\nEn la postulaci\u00f3n, los municipios tuvieron que demostrar sus valores y acciones hacia el turismo rural. El viceministerio indic\u00f3 que Filandia destac\u00f3 en su postulaci\u00f3n su ubicaci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica, arquitectura, artesan\u00edas, caf\u00e9s especiales, hermosos paisajes, la calidez de sus habitantes y la amplia oferta de atractivos culturales y naturales que se convirtieron en los pilares de la identidad y afianzaron el sentido de pertenencia de sus comunidades.<\/p>\n
FILANDIA AMONG THE BEST VILLAGES IN THE WORLD FOR RURAL TOURISM.
\nTwo municipalities in Colombia, one in the northeast and another in the coffee-growing region, which preserve the traditions and culture of their regions, were chosen among the Best Tourism Villages 2023 by the World Tourism Organization, WTO.
\nThese are Filandia, also known as \u00abThe Enlightened Hill of Quindio,\u00bb and Zapatoca in Santander, Colombian municipalities recognized in the annual competition promoted by this international organization to acknowledge the Best Villages for Rural Tourism around the world.
\nIn their application, the municipalities had to demonstrate their values and actions towards rural tourism. The vice ministry indicated that Filandia stood out in its application due to its strategic location, architecture, handicrafts, specialty coffees, beautiful landscapes, the warmth of its inhabitants, and the wide range of cultural and natural attractions that became the pillars of identity and strengthened the sense of belonging within their communities.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
