Desde Armenia, la capital del Quind\u00edo, son tan solo 25 kil\u00f3metros para llegar a este para\u00edso del Paisaje Cultural Cafetero.<\/h3>\n<p class=\"col-md-12\">La primera parada es Boqu\u00eda, para escuchar las rocas sobre el agua y la m\u00fasica tradicional en las peque\u00f1as fondas que avisan que dentro de pocos minutos estaremos en el municipio que celebra este mes su aniversario 175. Salento es un municipio peque\u00f1o pero lleno de vida, y donde el turista puede recorrer las calles principales rodeado de arquitectura tradicional cafetera hasta encontrarse la plaza principal para disfrutar de la diversidad y entretenimiento que ofrece. La Calle Real, caminata obligada para quien llega al municipio, debe su nombre a que por all\u00ed paso el libertador Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar y al cruzar se siente un ambiente diferente que se fusiona con las fachadas coloniales llenas de detalles artesanales y el encanto de sus numerosos restaurantes que invitan a degustar un muy variado men\u00fa en el que la Trucha figura como plato principal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"col-md-12\">El municipio \u00abpadre\u00bb del Quind\u00edo es tambi\u00e9n el hogar de la Palma de Cera, el loro orejiamarillo y muchas otras especies que la Cordillera de los Andes. El Valle de Cocora, donde encontramos la palma, es la entrada al Parque Nacional Natural de los Nevados y llena de emoci\u00f3n y encanto a los visitantes que llegan durante todo el a\u00f1o y convierten a este lugar en el sitio m\u00e1s visitado del Paisaje Cultural Cafetero Colombiano.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h3>Salento and its magical charm<\/h3>\n<p>The road to Salento is full of infinite mountains and so many shades of green we aren?t able to count them. From Armenia (Quindio?s Capital City), its just 25km to this paradise of the Cultural Coffee Landscape.<br \/>\nThe first stop is Boqu\u00eda, to listen to rocks over water and the traditional music of the \u00abfondas? typical restaurants which announce we are close to the municipality which will celebrate its 125th anniversary this month.<br \/>\nSalento is small but full of life. Tourists can tour the main streets surrounded by the traditional coffee culture architecture and find entertainment and diversity at the main plaza. Calle Real (Royal Street) is an obliged walk for first time visitors, and owes its name to the crossing of the Libertator Sim\u00f3n Bol\u00edvar centuries ago. Architecture and artisan-craft give sense to his special street.<br \/>\nThe father municipality of the department of Quind\u00edo (beings its oldest one) is also home to the Wax Palm, the yellow-eared parrot and several species from Andes Mountain Range.
