Vuelve y juega la temporada de Semana Santa que este año 2015 tiene ocurrencia entre fines de mayo y comienzo de abril. Una época que incluso al margen de las creencias religiosas, es propicia para el fortalecimiento turístico de destinos como el nuestro: el Paisaje Cultural Cafetero Colombiano «PCCC. Si bien es cierto que esta región es «La cuna del café más suave del mundo», también es claro que vivir la época de Semana Santa en medio de la exuberancia paisajística que ofrece el PCCC y la representación en vivo de esta tradición en algunos de sus municipios, se constituye en otra experiencia única para propios y visitantes. La Semana Santa que con extrema devoción se realiza por parte de la Parroquia de la Iglesia Catedral Nuestra Señora de la Pobreza, comparada incluso con las que tienen lugar en Mompox o Popayán, erigen a la capital risaraldense como uno de los destinos favoritos de quienes viven esta tradición del mundo católico. Un ingrediente adicional que fortalece a Pereira es la Semana Santa Infantil. Si al fervor cristiano se le agrega la admiración que genera entre muchos la arquitectura religiosa de muchos de los templos que ofrecen los municipios del PCCC, el turismo debe ser exhortado a visitar verdaderas joyas arquitectónicas como la imponente Catedral de Manizales y su inigualable Corredor Polaco; la decoración «clásica», de los templos de Aguadas, Pácora, Salamina y Salento, la Inmaculada Concepción y el Sagrado Corazón en Manizales, el templo de San José en Pereira, los templos de Chinchiná, Santa Rosa de Cabal, Sevilla, Calarcá, Guática y Marsella. Los cementerios son también elementos de diseño arquitectónico de gran importancia como los de Salamina y Marsella y el de Circasia. Y no podemos dejar de lado la imponencia del gigantesco Cristo Rey de Belálcazar ?Caldas que adorna la portada de esta edición.

Holy week, another unique experience at the coffee region
The Holy Week season is coming once more, this 2015 during the last days of March and the first days of April. A season which is more than adequate for the touristic strengthening of destinations such as ours, the Colombian Cultural Coffee Landscape, even when leaving aside religious beliefs. Being true that the region is «cradle of world´s smoothest coffee», it is also true that experiencing the Holy Week amidst the landscape exuberance offered by it and the live representation of this religious tradition held at several municipalities constitute a unique experience for locals and visitors. The extreme devotion with which the celebrations are carried out at Our Lady of Poverty Cathedral (in Pereira) is compared to the so famous celebrations in Mompox and Popayan, and highlight the capital city of Risaralda as one of the favorite destinations for those who follow this Catholic World tradition. An additional ingredient which strengthens the season is Children´s Holy Week.
If we add the admiration produced by the architecture of temples in the municipalities of the region to the Christian fervor that arises in visitors, then one must mention places such as Manizales imposing cathedral with its polish corridor as well as the Immaculate Conception and Sacred Heart in the same city; the «classical? decoration of the temples at Aguadas, Pácora, and Salamina; the San José temple in Pereira and those in Chinchiná, Santa Rosa de Cabal, Sevilla, Calaracá, Guática and Marsella.
